Technical Account Manager – Specialty Proteins

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager – Specialty Proteins to support Tatua USA aligned markets, including customers across North America and Europe.

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial delivery, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead technical and commercial support for customers and distributors
  • Manage specifications, technical documentation and change control requirements
  • Support qualification steps and new product introductions into assigned markets
  • Coordinate complaint investigation activities with Operations and Quality
  • Contribute to forecasting and production planning inputs
  • Maintain accurate demand forecasts and support pricing inputs
  • Monitor performance against targets and help identify improvement actions
  • Act as the primary daily contact for Europe-based contract manufacturing
  • Ensure alignment of technical, production and quality requirements
  • Manage documentation packs and respond to operational queries.
  • Lead prospecting activities for defined markets.

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Background in food science, chemistry, dairy, or a related technical field
  • Experience within dairy or food manufacturing/processing
  • B2B technical support or technical sales experience
  • Strong documentation, problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Experience with contract manufacturing processes (advantageous)
  • Tertiary qualification in Science or Food Science
  • Comfortable with periodic international travel
  • Culturally aware, relationship‑oriented and collaborative
  • Strong connection to New Zealand values and ways of working.
