Process/Packing Operators Cream Products


Ever wondered what happens behind the gates at Tatua? It’s a story of innovation, teamwork and community.

 

In April 2024, we broke ground to commence an expansion of our Foods Plant. This plant produces specialty cream products for customers around the world, including some of your favourite dairy products found in New Zealand supermarkets.

 

We have multiple positions available due to our expansion. Our Process/Packing Operators are hands-on, with their primary focus being to run the production area efficiently maintaining high quality and safety standards.

 

These positions work on a rotating 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, with 12-hour shifts. Working two days (5am – 5pm), two nights (5pm – 5am) then four days off.

 

We welcome people from all backgrounds; our team includes plumbers, teachers and builders to name a few. It’s important you’re a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to do your best work. You will need to be physically fit, as you will be required to lift 10+ kg regularly.


Responsibilities include:

  • Operate packing and process equipment in an efficient, safe and hygienic manner
  • Adherence to work instructions, procedures and specifications as documented in the appropriate manuals
  • Maintain high standards in the plant and associated workstations
  • Ensure final product quality standards are maintained.

 

The successful candidate will need the following attributes:

  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Physically fit
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and record keeping skills
  • Mechanical/practical skills and perspective
  • Computer skills.
