Power BI Specialist


Tatua is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Power BI Specialist to lead the rollout and adoption of Power BI across our business.

 

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to make a significant impact shaping our reporting landscape and empowering teams with data-driven insights.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Power BI Platform Setup: Lead the implementation of Power BI across the business, including enhancing workspace configuration, security management, and data flow architecture.
  • Governance & Standards: Provide oversight of Power BI governance, ensuring development standards are consistently applied, regularly reviewed, and enhanced to support enterprise-grade reporting.
  • Report Development: Design, build, and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports to enable actionable, data driven decision making.
  • Training & Enablement: Conduct workshops and training sessions to support business users in becoming self-sufficient with Power BI.
  • Team Capability Building: Upskill the Data & Insights team to ensure long-term sustainability of Power BI support and development.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Agile Delivery: Operate as part of an agile team to gather requirements, design, and build scalable Power BI solutions.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in Power BI development and administration.
  • Advanced expertise in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
  • Experience with SQL Server, Data Warehousing, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 integrations.
  • An understanding of ETL workflows and key data warehousing principles.
  • A solid foundation in data governance principles.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly understand and capture user requirements.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in direction and focus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
