Buildings and Grounds Assistant

Tatua is seeking a highly motivated Buildings and Grounds Assistant to join our Buildings and Grounds Team.

Reporting to the Buildings and Grounds Team Leader, you will play an important role in maintaining our site to the high standards. Working within a small, dedicated team, you will help ensure our buildings, grounds, ventilation systems, and associated facilities are maintained in a safe, hygienic, and well-presented condition that reflects Tatua's reputation for excellence.

In this role, you will:

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and cleaning building ventilation and extraction systems
• Carrying out routine and non-routine washing, sanitising, and chemical cleaning of external plant and building areas
• Assisting with the upkeep and presentation of site grounds
• Performing building inspections to ensure hygiene and condition standards are maintained
• Supporting the site's pest management programme
• Completing building maintenance and repair tasks as required.

• Previous experience in a dairy, food manufacturing, industrial, trades, grounds, or maintenance environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

This position is based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work will be required from time to time to complete tasks that can only be undertaken outside normal production hours.
